Springdales School, Pusa Road celebrated its Platinum Jubilee on 1st September 2025, with great zeal and enthusiasm to commemorate the birthday of Shri Yudhishtir Kumar, founder manager of Springdales. He was a visionary who had deep love for children. With a child centric ethos, the Founders Day was marked by music, dance and festivities.
Principal, Dr. Mala Gupta, congratulated the school on its 70th birthday, wishing the children happiness and success. She, along with the guests for the occasion, unveiled the new logo for the platinum jubilee year.
The band set the festive vibe and Students from std 6th and 12th enthralled the audience with their energized dances performances and fashion presentation depicting the decades of the magical journey Springdales.
The cake cutting amidst birthday songs, balloons and buntings were enjoyed by one and all.

This Raksha Bandhan, Interact club students came together to celebrate the festival in a unique and heartwarming way - by tying Rakhis to the grans in the community. With love in their hearts and smiles on their faces, the young ones honored the elderly women as symbols of wisdom, care and protection. The celebration beautifully bridged generations. Navya Singh (Vice - President , Interact Club) made grans feel special by making scrumptious cakes for grans. They all relished it thoroughly. The interactors distributed ration in a responsible manner. The grans and students enjoyed refreshments together, there was a festival vibe everywhere.
It was a touching reminder that Rakhi is not just about siblings, but about cherishing every bond of love and respect. Interact club students understood the significance of the festival .For Interactors, it was a very soul satisfying experience and enlightening experience . Springdales School, Pusa Road, witnessed a historic and inspiring occasion on 21st August 2025, as it marked the inauguration of the School’s 70th Birthday celebrations with an interaction session with the esteemed Mrs. Sudha Murthy – renowned author, philanthropist, Padma Bhushan awardee, and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha). The programme commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Mrs. Murthy, our respected Principal, Dr. Mala Gupta, and distinguished guests, symbolizing wisdom and knowledge. A warm welcome was extended to Mrs. Murthy through a video presentation showcasing her life and work and was followed by the formal welcome address by Principal Dr. Mala Gupta, who also shared her reflections on the occasion.
Mrs. Sudha Murthy then addressed the gathering, captivating the audience with her humility, anecdotes, and wisdom. Her words deeply resonated with students and staff alike, leaving behind lessons of kindness, courage, and service. The event also witnessed the presence of Mr. Samarth Sharma, CEO of National Edutrust of India, who shared his vision for education and environmental sustainability. On this memorable occasion, it was a matter of immense pride that Dr. Mala Gupta, Principal of Springdales School, Pusa Road, was conferred with the Best Principal Award of Excellence and Environmental Stewardship 2025 by National Edutrust India in the gracious presence of Mrs. Sudha Murthy.
One of the highlights of the event was the interactive Question & Answer session conducted on behalf of the students. Selected questions were posed to Mrs. Murthy, who answered them with warmth, wit, and clarity, making the interaction both inspiring and memorable. A token of appreciation, in the form of a student-made painting, was presented to Mrs. Murthy, followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ma’am Shuchi Bajaj, Head of the Social Science Department. The event concluded with a group photograph, capturing the spirit of the day, and a book display of Mrs. Murthy’s works for the students.

The Interact Club Installation Ceremony 2025 was held on 20th August at the Hall of Celebrations, Springdales School, Pusa Road. The event was graced by esteemed guests including Dr. Mona Puri (District Chair, New Generation Service Exchange) and members of Rotary Club of Delhi Garden City, Mr. Vivek Kataria (Director, Youth Committee), Ms. Preeti Venkatesh (Director vocational services) Mr. Rajeev Taneja (Executive Secretary, Rotary Club), and Dr. Mala Gupta (Principal, Springdales School, Pusa Road). The ceremony began with a tree plantation drive in the Herbal Garden, led by students from the Interact and Environment Clubs, symbolizing a commitment to sustainability and community service. This was followed by the badge distribution and oath-taking ceremony, where student leaders were honored with prestigious badges.
The Student Choir delivered a melodious performance, and a self-composed poem was presented with expressive enactment, adding a creative touch to the occasion. Interactors then shared the annual report, highlighting the club’s initiatives and achievements across various domains. Dr. Mona Puri applauded the students for their collective efforts, while Mr. Vivek Kataria inspired them with insights into Rotary International’s global network and its impact across educational institutions and communities.
Dr. Mala Gupta led the oath-taking, congratulated the newly appointed council members, and encouraged them to fulfill their responsibilities with dedication and integrity. As a tribute to the spirit of freedom, the students of Standard IX presented a vibrant and patriotic program in the school auditorium on 14th August 2025. The event commenced with a warm welcome address and was graced by Major General Rajeev Thapar, an esteemed alumnus from the batch of 1983, who honored the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Centered around the theme "Azadi: Kal, Aaj aur Kal," the program featured a rich array of performances that celebrated the essence of freedom and sacrifice. A poignant skit portrayed the struggles of India's freedom fighters, emphasizing the strength found in unity amidst diversity. The auditorium resonated with patriotic songs and energetic dances, creating an atmosphere of pride and enthusiasm. Through their creative expressions, the students highlighted the trials of the past, the realities of the present, and the aspirations for the future, reminding everyone that freedom is both a cherished legacy and a continuing responsibility. The audience was moved by the confidence and talent of the young performers.
Major General Thapar addressed the gathering with heartfelt anecdotes from his service at the Siachen Glacier and nostalgic reflections on his time at Springdales, inspiring students with his words. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Dr. Mala Gupta, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

Springdales School, Pusa Road celebrated their annual Knowledge Week from 14thth July to 19thJuly 2025, for the students of Nursery to Std XII. The theme of this year, “Beyond Boundaries: Exploring, Engaging and Innovating” was reflected through the creative presentations and holiday homework of children at various levels.
The exhibits around the school showcased various aspects of diversity enabling visitors to delve into the opportunities of inclusion.

The Principal, Dr. Mala Gupta inaugurated the knowledge week by lighting the lamp and the opening of ‘Book of Knowledge’. In her welcome address she inspired and motivated students to use practical solutions to adapt to the emerging times.
A week long celebrations were held whereby each day was dedicated to a particular subject and students were involved in a myriad of activities.
On the English day students participated in story telling with finger puppets, story narrations, blurbs writing, and creation of Literary timelines. Speeches and folktales from around the world made students reflect on the experiences of diversity was the highlight of the social science day. On the science day, students were involved in various hand on activities, exploring the cosmic constellation , creative conservation stories, artificial intelligence workshop at Hansraj college and visit to IARI-Maize Lab. There were a series of interactive and thought-provoking workshops like, creation of mathematical blueprints of architecture, quizzes and games related to mathematical concepts and visit to Pradhanmantri Sanghralaya on the Maths day. The languages day involved students in story and dialogue narration, quizzes and brochure making in Hindi, Sanskrit, French and German.

Students of Class XI-E, Springdales School, Pusa Road, participated in the Adopt-a-Gran Ration Distribution Drive at Dasghara village as part of the school’s flagship community outreach programme. The visit marked a heartwarming reunion with the grans after the summer vacation. The students were warmly welcomed, and the grans expressed great joy in seeing them again. Although a few of the elderly were not keeping well, their spirits were uplifted by the students’ presence and affection.
For many students, this was their first visit to the community, and the experience left a lasting impression. They interacted warmly with the grans, listened to their stories, and shared light-hearted moments. The volunteers also distributed refreshments and sat down for a shared meal, strengthening the connection between generations.
Each student took initiative and participated sincerely in the distribution of ration kits. Their active involvement reflected sensitivity, responsibility, and empathy towards the elderly.
The Adopt-a-Gran project is one of Springdales School’s key community service initiatives. It aims to give students meaningful exposure to grassroots-level social work and instill in them a deep sense of compassion and commitment to the more vulnerable sections of society. Springdales School, Pusa Road observed Mandela Day to commemorate the 107th birth anniversary and to honour the legacy of Dr. Nelson Mandela on the 18th of July, 2025. The celebration was a culmination of the diversity week on the theme ‘Embracing the Unique’. A series of activities marked the ties between India and Africa and attempted to reinforce amongst the students, values of humanism, embracing differences and inclusive development.
The valedictory function was presided over by Mr. Cedrick C. Crowley, Deputy High Commissioner, South African High Commission; Mr. Fabian Welt, Project Manager Schools, the Goethe Institut; Mr. Sandeep Bhutani, Vice President, Prayatna Educational Society; Dr Kavita Sharma, Chairperson Springdales Pusa Road, Dr. Usha Ram, Manager, Springdales School, and other members of the managing board.
Principal, Dr. Mala Gupta, extended a warm welcome to the gathering and paid floral tribute to Madiba along with the distinguished guests. She emphasized on the need for the youth to carry on Mandela’s values and contribute towards the humanitarian causes to make the world a better one for all.
The choir mesmerized the audience with the melodious rendition of an African song ‘Memeza’ by Brenda Fassie and ‘I arise’. Through a multimedia presentation students brought forth some very pertinent economic connections of Africa with the other BRICS nations and their significant position in the world trade.
The highlight of the programme was an enactment titled, ‘Mandela’s Enduring Friendships’ showcasing his lifelong associations and companionships with his associates and partners. The programme concluded with celebrating the diversity of cultures in India and around the world through a dance presentation titled, ‘Let Us Invoke’ by students of both senior and middle schools.
Mr. Fabian Welt from the Goethe Institut, in his speech, explored the significance of languages in strengthening cultural ties and bringing people together.
The chief guest, Mr. Cedrick C. Crowley, spoke of Mandela’s compassion, commitment and courage towards justice and urged the youth to follow the same. He appreciated the principal and the school for their continuous endeavors in building Indo-Africa relationships and applauded the role of teachers in shaping generations of sensitive global citizens.
